Livie’s Trip to Philly

Livie’s Trip to Philly

Philly: The City of Auntie Love

Written by: Livie (with a little help from Auntie G and Mommy)

I went on a trip this weekend…to visit Auntie G in Philadelphia. It was a really long car trip, but it was worth it. Here are a few highlights from my trip:

The first morning I got up extra early (5:45) because I was so excited. Auntie G made me pancakes and sausage and I got to eat at the big girl table on a big girl stool. Auntie G sure bought a lot of food for an almost 2 year old to eat!

Then we ran errands. It was fun to see the kitties waiting to be adopted at the pet store. I said good-bye to all of them when I left. After that we went to Wegmans, of course.

When we got back I video chatted with Mommy, Daddy and Lexi. I think they missed me too much.

After my nap Auntie G took me to the pool where she teaches swimming. We went out to the splash pad first, but I really wanted to get in the big girl pool to show her what I could do. I think she was surprised at how I like to jump in (60+ times) without needing anyone to catch me. And, with my goggles I can see really well underwater. There was a Daddy there with his kids who told me that I was a really good swimmer. I said, “Yeah.” I mean, of course I am. Both Mommy and Auntie G were swimmers…it’s in my blood.

Once we were all dried off Auntie G and I played in the yard with the miniature golf club Auntie G got me. I am really good!

On Sunday we went to the Crayola Factory! There were lots of things to see and do. I colored and I played with modeling clay (for some reason Auntie G wouldn’t let me eat it). And there was this area for kids to run around in with a tunnel to crawl through. I loved it!

Then we got in the car again to meet Mommy and Lexi. I thought for sure Daddy was hiding somewhere in the car, but it turned out we had to go pick him up. I gave Mommy a big hug and wanted to hold Lexi right away.

So, it was a busy weekend, but I had a great time! Oh, and if you ever have a chance to bounce on a blow-up mattress that’s just your size I highly recommend it! Someone needs to tell Auntie G that she should let me have a turn once in a while.

Wedding

We had the honor of attending my girlfriend Aga’s wedding on Sunday September 5th.  Nate and I met Aga 9 years ago when we all opened and worked at the Galyan’s store in Henrietta.  Aga and I became fast friends and we always had a lot of fun together.  When Nate and I got transferred to the Las Vegas store Aga and I lost touch with each other but whenever we would email or see each other it was like there was never any distance between us.

These pictures are from my last day in Rochester 2002 before I moved to Las Vegas.
This is x-mas eve 2002 at my mom’s house, we hadn’t seen each other in 2 months but we showed up wearing the exact same color nail polish.
New Year’s Eve with a couple of our former co-workers.
This is us in Salt Lake City when we opened a new Galyan’s store there.
Aga married a great man named Jeremy, Nate and I first met Jeremy at our own wedding and we thought he was a perfect match for Aga. Jeremy is fun and easy-going and we really like him.  Their wedding was beautiful; Aga’s and the bridesmaid’s dresses definitely reflected Aga’s impeccable taste.  Aga’s style was something I always admired, she has a cool, fun, spirited way about her and it comes out in everything she touches.
Sitting at our table listening to her Matron of Honor give her speech and hearing about the great places they have travelled to and the things they have shared really made me sad that we aren’t as close as I would like us to be.  Now that we are in Syracuse and she is done planning her wedding and I am done having babies (for now) I am determined to see her and keep in touch more often.

Aga, congratulations I am so happy for you and you deserve all the happiness that comes your way.  I love you.
*You should listen to your mother and have babies really soon so we can have “play dates”.*

Ever since Livie moved from her crib into her big girl bed she hasn’t been sleeping in past 6:30am.  When she was in her crib and couldn’t get out she would sleep in until 7:30-8:00am.  So, I was wondering if this has anything to do with us leaving her door open when she sleeps because when she wakes up she gets up and comes into our room. Please leave your answer and any suggestions on what I can do to get her to sleep longer.

Thank you.

A couple of weeks ago I received an email from my step-mother Donna who wanted to take Livie camping over Labor Day weekend.  I was a little apprehensive to say the least, if any of you know us then you would know how afraid Livie is of my Dad.  My Dad has never done anything to Livie except love her to pieces but she is afraid of his beard.
